Also known as Bedford Coins, Eastgate Coins is the Gold, Coins and Banknote trading arm of Eastgate Stamps & Coins.

Situated on the 2nd floor of the BEDFORD Office Tower at the BEDFORD Centre we are a short drive from Oliver Tambo International Airport.

Julian Gecelter, Mervyn Klotz, Lance Kahn and Marc Hummel are trusted experts in the stamp and coin market and will provide the best advice and fair prices. All appraisals are confidential.

Yes, collection is free.

What is your Anti-Money Laundering Policy?

In order to offset the risk of money laundering as prescribed by FIC’s Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Legislation (ed. 2018), all employees at Eastgate Universal Stamps & Coins cc are committed to the following best practices in terms of the Anti-Money Laundering policy.

We will accept cash as payment for Krugerrands. Any cash received or direct cash deposits through a local bank above the R49999 threshold will be reported as per FIC requirements.
Do you accept credit card transactions?

No. We only accept EFT or direct payments.
Do you buy Jewellery and Coins?

We buy silver and gold jewellery and silver and gold coins in any condition. The base metals and various other components have an intrinsic value.

In terms of gold jewellery, we buy any caratage, from 9ct to 24ct gold. We will test the authenticity of all jewellery that we buy before we process the purchase.

We buy gold and jewellery at competitive and market-related prices and transactions are processed in our safe and secure office environment. Bearing our clients privacy in mind, we ensure that all deals are made in the strictest of confidence. With our private trading rooms, your transaction will stay completely private and confidential.

For jewellery that contain diamond settings we have qualified assessors that are able to evaluate, grade and assign a fair value to your diamonds according to its carat weight, cut, colour and clarity. Contact us to arrange an appointment on 011 616 2705.
How do you make payment for Jewellery and Coins purchased?

We make payment immediately via EFT directly to the bank of your choice. The funds will generally be in your bank account within 24 hours.
We do not charge any commission or handling fees. There are no additional or
hidden costs. The price we quote is the amount you will receive.
Do you sell Krugerrands?

Yes. We make an immediate EFT payment.

We need to make a copy of your ID document.

You need to complete a Bill of Sale.

We require proof of
residence as well as proof of your bank account
