We will accept cash as payment for Krugerrands. Any cash received or direct cash deposits through a local bank above the R49999 threshold will be reported as per FIC requirements.
Suspicious activities and transactions (even those that do not comply with the above requirements) will be treated as suspicious and will be reported to FIC without notification.
When buying or selling Krugerrands to Eastgate Universal Stamps & Coins cc, the following documents are require:
- Copy of an ID (front & back).
- Proof of address
- Proof of Bank Account/ Bank Confirmation letter
- Completion of a SARS VAT 264 when selling
Krugerrand dealers are defined as high-value goods dealers and accountable institutions for FIC. We adhere to Know Your Client (KYC) principles and apply a risk-based approach on every transaction.

We buy silver and gold jewellery and silver and gold coins in any condition. The base metals and various other components have an intrinsic value.
In terms of gold jewellery, we buy any caratage, from 9ct to 24ct gold. We will test the authenticity of all jewellery that we buy before we process the purchase.
